Chinen: wtf

and now for something completely different: winged eyeliner?

Why is it that I've been doing winged liquid eyeliner for about 5 years now and I still can't get it right?? I feel like I get the wings to look almost perfectly even maybe 5% of the time, mostly even about 30% of the time, pretty meh but acceptable maybe 50%, and so bad that I have to redo them 15% of the time. Before I started liquid liner, I used pencil liner and a chiseled brush which I basically used to smudge the wing into the shape I wanted, so I had more room for error, but with liquid liner, I just suck.

Does anyone else on my flist use liquid liner? Do you consider yourself an ace of wings? Please tell my your secrets? XD;

My usual method is to do a wing on the eye I feel less good about my ability to control the shape first, and then aim to match the other eye to it, but because I have different angles on my different eyes (I'm right-handed, and I can't do eyeliner with my left hand, so therefore no matter what I do, I can't get the same angle), it almost never works out. What's more, when I draw them, I almost never feel like I have any control over the angle, and half the time they point up, while the other half the time, they point more out to the side.

TL;DR liquid eyeliner wings are a total bitch T__T; And I really suck at them.
