Disclaimer: I don't own Shirota nor Yanagi nor anything in the TeniMyu franchise.
Warnings: REAL PEOPLE. BL, overall goofiness.
Author's note: This is for Sarah, who requested "Shirota/Yanagi, a fic where Shirota is being goofy." After all, Shirota is goofy a lot backstage. XD; I hope you enjoy it, darling~
Yanagi sits at his mirror, makeup spread out before him on the counter. He's already in his costume and he's gotten his foundation done, but it's ten minutes to places, and he can't seem to concentrate on getting prepared, because someone is distracting him.
Humming some irritating radio jingle, Shirota bounces behind him, already entirely ready for stage, glasses and all. It's almost amusing to Yanagi to see the current incarnate of Tezuka swaying back and forth behind an under-made-up Ryoma, making faces and giving him bunny ears and posing in the ridiculous ways. Rolling his eyes with a half laugh, he shakes his head. "You're making this very difficult, you know."
"It's what I'm here for," Shirota replies with a silly grin, standing back for a moment. Yanagi thinks that maybe he's been given a reprieve so that he doesn't miss his cue when all of a sudden, Shirota snatches his baseball cap right off of his head, placing it on his own with an imitation, "Mada mada da ne!"
Yanagi pouts, shooting him an unappreciative look. "I wouldn't have so far to go if you'd stop distracting me for a second."
"But you're so cute," Shirota protests, pinching one of Yanagi's cheeks playfully, laughing when he's smacked on the wrist and swatted away.
"You're so annoying," Yanagi shoots back in a rather Ryoma-like fashion, though with far less acerbity and conviction in his voice and half of an exasperated grin on his face.
"Ah, but you love me anyway," Shirota shoots back, dodging as Yanagi snatches for his hat. It's easy because he's much taller, and Yanagi pouts again.
With a sigh, Yanagi goes back to his makeup. "I guess the question, really, is why."
Shirota puts on a dramatic pout and seems about to say something before, all of a wide sudden a grin spreads across his face. Decisively, he grips the brim of Yanagi's hat and twists it so that it's backwards on his head, looking very pleased with himself. Yanagi isn't sure what to expect when Shirota drops to one knee, arm extended towards him dramatically, but then Shirota begins to sing.
"I'm a little shy, but I'll say it anyway! Thanks, you and I are a good combination!"
Yanagi has to try very, very hard to keep from face-planting into his makeup.
